JUNE HUB UPDATES

I hope you're having a great start to your summer!
There are a few important updates below, so please read through this email so you're in the know.
NEW COFFEE BREWING SYSTEM
Beginning today, our coffee will be brewed in-house! SEEDS has set up a sweet brewer and French press system for us that will allow you to brew coffee whenever you like! A few things to note:
I will still brew coffee when I am here (M, T, TR, F).
When I am not here you may brew either an airpot or a single cup in the French press.
Airpots can be brewed until 2:00pm Monday-Friday. After 2:00pm, please only use the French press as we don't want to waste coffee.
Coffee is pre-ground and pre-measured for you in tins that will sit next to the brewer.
Brewing instructions for the airpot and the french press are listed on the brewer.I will be out of town tomorrow, June 16-July 12.
ASHLEY FOSTER ON VACATION
I will be out of town tomorrow, June 16-July 12.
While I am away, Ashley Deforest will be acting Community Manager for The Hub. Ashley is a coach at A4One and the bookkeeper for SEEDS Coffee. She is a wonderful, intelligent, and kind person who I know will be an amazing leader for the community while I'm away. You have probably seen Ashley working at The Hub but just in case you need to put a face with her name, here she is:
Ashley Deforest
Ashley will be the acting Hub Community Manager while I am on vacation, June 16-July 12.
Her schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-10:30am.
Ashley will be your in-person contact for anything related to the space (i. e. supplies, phonebooths, coffee, maintenance). If you need something outside of the hours Ashley is here, please email me and I will get in touch with her.
I will also continue to handle all conference room bookings, events, membership questions, payment issues, and internet issues.
PROPERTY RENOVATIONS!
We are continuing our phased renovation of The Hub/SEEDS property. Things are moving along nicely, and I am so excited about everything that is in the works. We are trying our best to keep disruptions to a minimum, but know that some of these things will affect how you access the building or where you can work or eat lunch. Here is a tentative schedule for you:
Last week:
Removed old shed under deck, leveled ground under deck and prepped patio area.
Today:
Pavers installed on patio on the side of The Hub (!)
Stairs removed from back deck (please enter the building through the front door until the new stairs are installed).
Picnic tables will be moved to greenspace behind SEEDS until the patio is done. Once the patio is finished, we will move the picnic tables to the patio. Feel free to use that area once the tables are moved to the patio.
Next Week (June 21-25)
Deck will be resurfaced with new lumber, new handrail will be added
Adding a back door to SEEDS' roasting lab
Demoing the lab and beginning plumbing
June 28-July 2
-We will be adding prefab building to the back of the property.
-Renovation work will continue on the lab
